This is an organ from my home town, Washington, Indiana, that I somewhat look after. It is a 53 rank Goulding & Wood pipe organ rebuild, finished in 1988 containing Pedal, Great, Swell, Choir, and a floating Antiphonal. It has its problems, but I'm trying to bring them to surface so that the church will fix them. I sat at the console, pushed record, and this is what I ended up making up on the spot. The pedal solos turned out ok(the one at the start and the one at the end), but I could have done better. Oh and sorry its so long... LOL

  • I am rather sure that this organ was built using their electro-pnumatic slider chests. Think of it as an internal barker lever tracker....they have a diagram of their action on their website.

  • very nice organ -excellent playing

  • I'm not sure if I posted this somewhere, but the organ before it was remodeled it was manufactured by the Wangerin Organ Company

  • Wow...Thats amazing!

  • Hi Brad, yes school comes first. What are you studying? I hope it includes music as you are a fabulous musican & organist!! My short organ building career was during the revolution in Canada of turning some beautiful old organs into classic baroque sounds. Ripping out diapasons etc to add harsh mixtures etc. Sadly I'm not sure the congregations had even heard of baroque! Salvaging & adding would have been better than butchering for sure. Good luck with your studies. Canadian fan, Roy

  • oh and also, this organ is G/W's opus 13, they were still learning how to make organs... I just wish they hadn't removed the second 16' diapason the original had... it sometimes makes me wonder what they were thinking. As Dr. Regot(I think that's how his name is spelled haha) from IU said when he visited during the consideration of renovation,"this organ needs to be salvaged, added to here and there and that's it." Sadly the instrument was butchered.
