  • how are these compared to copics? I know they are cheaper, but is the effect better ? : O I own copics, but I am not so impressed by them, I think inktense...might be better for me to start off with, but i'm looking for a second opinion

  • @Krimson its like a watersoluable colored pencil, I really love them for the wet/dry techniques and the fast learning curve over copics with all their techniques and blending messes.

  • Thanks emily, needed to see that to make up my mind on which watercolour derwent set to buy. Seems like an easy choice after that demo. Cheers.

  • @darrenlightstorm glad i could help TFW!

  • I'm really into manga, would these be all right for that?

  • I would say you could definatly use them for that, just be very patient and control your strokes. The way you could layer the colors could give an awesome 3D effect!

  • You very ,uch resemble the jazz singer Diana Krall.

  • OMG! Where WERE you EARLIER TODAY?! I totally needed to watch this video! Not just because you answered all my questions about these pencils, but because you just simplified shading petals! THANK YOU! You SERIOUSLY ROCK!!!! <3

  • Seems like you really have to be patient with these, maybe not the best to start a school project with, but I'm determined. Lots of light layers to start. It doesn't seem like the lights will cover the darks too well, but I'll find out. Thanks for the intro.

  • My art teacher in college recommended Derwent for graphitint pencils we needed that semester. I was not disappointed. At all. These look awesome. Now to save up my paycheck! ^_^

  • Derwent didn't invent the pencil and far from it but they are one of the market leaders for a long time.

  • So they are water colour pencils...but darker and more intense. Sounds intresting...but I don't much like the derwent brand after doing a graphite pencil comparison test (their 8B is pithetic compared to Steadler...huh...) Nevertheless...this looks like an intresting thing. I am also looking into Copic markers... I want to have dark vibrant adn realistic colors...not washed out watery colors...can these do that for me? How many colors do they have in all...Copic has 324...can one pencil vary?

  • What brush is that? :3 please respond

  • @Mrzkittyz you could buy them in michaels ( thats where i got mine) or you could try their website or try amazonb :D

  • where can u buy them from in the U.S

  • Hi Emily
