Great job on the cake! the baby is adorabe. i make cakes and offer a vegan cake and rfondant and if you google vegan fondant you can find a great recipe for it without the gelatin. :)

Hello, very cute. I have a tip for you if yu want to make the mm fondant. You put in 3 or 4 drops of edible glicerine and its soo smooth when rolling it out.

Hi, I love your cake. The baby is awesome! The piping is stupendous. I just made a cake to practice piping. I want to do embroidery flowers. I can use any tips I can get. I also tried to post a video but it didn't work. I can use some help there also.

You don't give yourself enuf credit. The baby is absolutley precious and the scroll work lovely. I would have never known you were not a professional.For the fondant I use the Wilton recipe in the book. The glycerine is the KEY. I always add a drop or two when I am working with fondant and it gets dry. I also subsitute clear corn syrup for glucose. Dont roll it out too thin or too thick that is the other key!

very nice cake, with everyone you do you get better! what recipe do you usually use when making fondant. I've got a fool proof one that i've used for a few months now. i hate using wilton fondant so i've done everything possible to not use it. all in all 2 thumbs up!

Thanks so much! Well, I gave up on making it, u see I'm vegetarian so I don't use gelatin and that makes it impossible to get the texture right, plus it's too much work and time consuming... I use satin Ice and wilton but now mostly cover cakes in buttercream though, with a paint roller you can get the BC amazingly smooth! I only do the decor in fondant...

Thanks guys!! yes I actuall printed out some scrolls from cakecentral n based myself on those while I piped them, and on each mistake, bam a flower!! hahaha
