Pt Anant Kunte - Sarangi

Pt. Anant Kunte a well known sarangi player and one of the few living legends in Sarangi.Born in 1930 in maharastrian brahmin family. His father was a pakhawaj player.His elder brother Pt. L.K. Kunte a renowned tabla player and disciple of Ustad Amir Hussein Khansaheb motivated Anantji to learn Sarangi.Anantiji has accompanied all the major and renowned vocalist(Pt.Bhimsen Joshi, Begum Akthar, Rasoolbai and many more) of his times and also accompanied as lehera for tabla solo performances of Ustad Amir Husseing khansaheb, Ustad Ahmedjan Thirakwa, Ustad Karamatullah Khan and many more. He resides in Thane, Maharastra- India.

Kyaa baat hai!!! This is one of the best sarangi players i have ever heard. Your sarangi playing has reached my heart, affecting it so much in the way that your bow slides against the strings of the sarangi. In that way you have affected my heart. Ya but no classical on youtube Luudite..

But just to mention songs like "koi hum dum na raha" by kishore kumar," Tere mere milan ki ye raina" from film Abhimaan by S.D.Burman and more recently song "Kal Hona Ho" from Kal HO Na Ho are all based on this raag.

this is a true master peice amongst all sarangi division. i have all respect but aswell dissappointment in all the flaws included, technical for sure but more deep emotions please..
