@TheMrDisser ofc a good gpu makes things easier. but i expierienced a way bigger preformance boost when upgrading my system from amd dual core 4 gig to i7 8gig then from upgrading before from nvidea 8 series to ati 4850 (+ a 10000 rpm system disk). my system is build for editidng purposes, since i make my living off it ;)
on the other hand there are special video editing cards out there, for a several thousand €, but its more the connectors (SDI, hdmi IN) than the gpu power u need for gaming

If you want something and you dont want to go looking for it id go for a macbook pro 15" or a Sony Vaio.

i got a pc and a macbook air you should get acer intell core duel proseser windows 7starter i got mine up graded to windows 7 pro but if you got $999 you should buy the first macbook eddiction

64 bit processor 2Ghz or higher (At least Dual Core), 4GB of Ram, a really good video card Nvidia best or ATI, and good editing skills.
P.S what happened to your left eye?
