  • My dryer past everything with flying colors...it spins, but wont heat, Am I missing something?

  • @angeldelahuerta Hiya, if the dryer components all test good, double check the power to the dryer.

  • First and foremost, check incoming power. I did all of these tests only to find out I wasn't getting 240 volts at the outlet. The dryer still operated but with no heat. Turns out the one lug on the 50 year old outlet it was plugged into was corroded. Ended up replacing outlet. You should have 120 volts from each leg to ground and 240 volts between the two power legs.

  • @okpues77 Sounds like your motor is going bad....shutting off on overload...

  • My fuse has continuity, i just installed a brand new heating element and thermostat. Dryer will spin but still no heat coming out. Stumped.

  • damn typos ... there maybe some lint you are missing on me in left side of the squirrel cage you must of been the dryer up and physically look at it ...

  • a high limit issue ... either the high limit is faulty or there is someone that you are missing caught up inside the inlet squirrel cage of the fan ...

  • I have a estate dryer that will heat up and work fine for about ten minutes, then it shuts off and starts up again on its own after it cools down. The dryer is clean from the inside, there is no lint obstructing the exhaust. Any help would be appreciated.

  • @sonofmabarker He was using the Ohm function on his tester, there is a battery in the tester to test Ohms. Testing Ohms with the power on can damage the meter or harm you if it explodes. His meter (Fieldpiece) has protection but I have seen (well heard actually), someone apply power to a piece of equipment and forget to change the setting on a cheep meter back to volts. It was a pretty loud explosion, if you don't know how to use a VOM, don't...

  • Isn't there a switch on the drive motor that prevents the heating element from energizing if the motor is not functioning? If so, why did you not include that in your tests? The motor could be running and the switch not work properly.

  • When you unpugged the dryer at the start of this video. How did you still get readings on your tester?
