A parody of the Neil Diamond and Johnny Cash versions of "Solitary Man" written and released in 1966 by Neil Diamond. The song's subject is changed to the 2012 Republican bid for president, and choosing Romney over the other candidates.

The band "The Nash Ramblers" is named after the famous car from the '50's attributed to Mitt's father George Romney"s work as the CEO of American Motors.

Parody Produced and Recorded by E. Limburg
Performed by Thais-I-Am

Lyrics:
(N. Diamond, J. Cash, G. Limburg, Thais-I-Am)

Bachman was mine
Till the time
That I heard her,
Trouncin' Tim;
Trashin' him.

Then Newt Came Along,
Swayed me strong,
That's what I thought.
Me and Newt,
But now that's moot.

Chorus:
Don't know that I will
But until
I can find me.
A stumper who'll stay
And won't play games behind me.

(1st time only) I'll know who I am
(All other times) I'll be who I am
I'm a Romney Man
A Romney Man

I've had it to here
Hearing Paul
Get the last word.
Iran gets nukes;
What a kook!

I know it's been done,
A Texan,
As the leader.
Weak or strong,
Perry's gone.

Chorus 2

Bridge

Chorus 3

Reprise:
A Romney Man!
Mitt Romney Man!
I'm a Romney Man!
Mitt Romney Man!
A Romney Man!
I'm a Romney Man!

  • I hope Neil does a cease and desist. Neil's a liberal and Cash was, too. They both made PRODUCTS to sell, earning their money honestly. Romney is a predatory capitalist who bought small companies to dismantle them, fire workers, raid their pensions and bank anything left of value as the jobs were shipped to China. Bush-Romney-You are New World Order Men.

  • @orangejuiceluv well, we'll see if they do but a lot of times, parodies are given fair use.

As for your Romney rant you are incorrect and should learn about the foundations of business before making such claims. Have you ever talked someone down on their price, say for a home, or car? Have you ever bought something in hopes that the value would go up, especially after talking someone down on the price or buying it on sale? Most americans have. Its called Capitalism and thats what Bain did.

  • @thenashramblers You're wrong - what Bain does is crony predatory capitalism not a healthy capitalism. Romney got a $10mil taxpayer bailout for Bain in 1991 and repaid the taxpayer by sending jobs to China and other low-wage countries. Bushes and Romney are New World Order fascists. Romney has ALWAYS been on that same NWO page with Bushes.

  • @orangejuiceluv That claim is interesting, and Romney will have to explain himself. However, you may want to look twice at that article. The FDIC is a government insurance agency and they were overtaking a separate lender that was working with Bain. So, if your company uses as bank as a partner, and because of some mismanagement on the bank's part they go under and need FDIC insurance (which is mostly paid by premium fees from other member banks, right?) your company is responsible?

  • Who's the New World Order? Obama did the same thing Bain does, bought out GM and over hauled it. Except Obama did it with public money. He gambled our money and took over private sector responsibilities. How much money have he and his cronies made off the same model? At least Bain did it's business with its own money. Destructive capitalism at its worst will always beat socialism at its best.

  • I have already picked whom I support for President in 2012. It's the guy who was sitting a few seats away from Neil Diamond on the Kennedy Center Honors that was on T.V. recently. To the tune of "Love on the Rocks": "Love that Barack, ain't not big surprise."

  • Awesome!!! I'm a Romney Man Too!
