I've been screaming this for a couple of years now, but let's face it, we still have people in public office who believe Young Earth Creationism. People in positions of power who believe Jesus walked the earth with dinosaurs. The good news is, these folks have been so loud lately that the rest of America has taken notice and realized what a bunch of loons they are. That's how Obama got elected. As much on his own merits as the stupidity of the alternative.

I still am blown away by the fight against health care reform. The only explanation is a combination of the people who profit from the current system, and their parrots. UHC is an obvious success in most of Europe, Australia, Canada, and it's one of two things actually working well in Cuba!
