  • Grateful for this video. Have been doing this for months now.

  • If you can't reach around to clasp your hands in front of your shin, clasp them around the back of your thigh instead and just fold your lower leg in as much as you can while pulling the thigh in towards your body. That's what I do, and it still works to stretch the muscles just fine.

  • @Aston480TBE - Yes. I learned this pose as a hip opener rather than as a lower back stretch, and you should feel the muscles along your hip and thigh stretching as you do it.

  • yoga goddess!

  • I can't get that much stretch. My leg (not the one with the ankle across the thigh) will only go about 90 degrees, to where the knee points straight up at the ceiling. Will it get more flexible with time?

  • this is yoga?

  • Thanks for the video - the pose is painful for me, but it's what I need to do to loosen up.

  • @wainting2beripe are you flexible now?!

  • i feel like my bones have fused together or something.. ergh

  • "reach through the little hole between the thighs"....thats what she said
