On December 1, 2009 we filmed lithium battery testing at ZAP's facilities in Santa Rosa, California. For the past few years ZAP has been studying lithium batteries combined with battery management systems. ZAP says this system can store 35 kwh of energy and can allow an average electric car to drive approximately 100 miles per charge. A Battery Management System (BMS) is any electronic device that manages a rechargeable battery, such as by monitoring its state, calculating secondary data, reporting those data, protecting it, controlling its environment, and / or balancing it. This pack is available from ZAP in California or its website at http://www.zapworld.com.

  • wrong wheel layout which means instability. one wheel at the back and two at the front is the way to go,but, what do i know???

  • I'm working on a similar project for a senior design. Do you guys recieve signal noise while charging or discharging? We have a similar setup as well: the monitorying board sit directly on top of what looks like the exact same batteries. when we charge the system, the voltage monitor reading goes haywire. Do you have a similar issue?
