  • umm i have to dissagree with this video. the retro entertainmet system is awesome and it actually does play nes games better than the retro duo. i have owned one for about 3 months now and the only games it has a issue with for me is the tengen games.

  • @EatSleepGame64 Well it is possible that the one I got may have had a defect in it or something. But seeing as it wasn't an official product I wasn't gonna bother getting another one just to be sure.

  • The RES sounded much better. What's wrong with your ears?

  • @excalibunny In cases where both games sounded messed up yeah it did. But there are almost no games it played with no problems. Meanwhile the Duo had a few that it does played perfectly. Unfortunately I couldn't show too many or the video would have been too long.

  • The Retro Duo's sound card is horrendous! You wouldn't think it'd be that hard to emulate 8-bit audio.

  • @Zikar Yeah it is, but at the same time it did manage to play Dragon Warrior, Dragon Warrior II, Swords and Serpents, Maniac Mansion, and Wizards and Warriors III without any noticeable sound problems. While the RES only could do that with Battletoads. But generally on games where they both screwed up the RES sounded better... I would have shown more footage for comparison but I didn't want the video to be too long.

  • I own both the RES and RetroDuo and I have to say, out of the box, the RES is a hell of a lot more tolerable than the RetroDuo with NES games. The RetroDuo is more compatible, however, but due to RetroBit having completely screwed up the audio amplifier by omitting two parts, most games have horribly distorted sound. The RES, while it sounds better, will not play Castlevania III without a mod and exhibits graphical errors with Rad Racer II and Tengen's After Burner. Not so on the RetroDuo.

  • @OzzieArcane haha yeah man nice video by the way this is still very informative XD

  • @twistedXjustice im gona buy it only for super mario bros 3 and battletoads

  • Bad ass shirt dude...

  • @OzzieArcane well im glad the RES is okay, because i just bought one, mainly for dragon warrior 1 and 2 haha
