Rob, Kwame and I installing a G5RV antenna in a couple of trees with a dummy launcher gun. This gun uses .22 blanks to shoot a retrieval dummy (used to train dogs). It worked great. I was able to get my center support up around 100 feet and the legs about 80 or so feet up. I would recommend this procedure to anyone wanting to get a dipole or some similar antenna system into a tree. It was very accurate and as safe as any other method of shooting antenna supports into trees. Sorry about the quality of this video, it is one of my very first attempts of making videos.

Oh, if you try this and something goes wrong, I am not going to accept any responsibility for it. So be careful.
