Nice moving acoustic music performed by a family bonded with nature living on a very small nordic island. http://www.hempfling.com/ - (For good sound please watch this video with headphones) One of Klaus' sons recently came to him and asked, how those music videos, you find in internet, are made. 'Well', said he, 'the best way to understand that, is just to make one by yourself'. So, they chose one of their own songs, draped their instruments on their old truck and drove to the beach which is less than one kilometre away in all directions, no matter where you are on the island where they live.
They had a lot of joy that afternoon and afterwards they built and hammered all together for their little clip.
As Klaus was then watching the result, he thought by himself:
'wow, here one or the other thing is expressed, which I find interesting for life and for the being with horses in general.' And thats why we would like to give you this little clip as a sort of a Sound-New-Year-Greeting card from Klaus' little island.
Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling is a worldwide known and acknowledged horse therapist who counts to the celebrities of the horse world (http://www.hempfling.com). Less known is his passion for music he plays many instruments but especially the acoustic guitar is really like a part of him. He has his very own authentic style which he developed as a street musician in his youth, where he very early stood on his own and had to make a living. On the little Danish island where he lives you will sometimes here singing or drumming and percussion in the streets near his house then you know: Klaus is at home.

Some might ask what this has to do with the horses? Well, you could maybe say Not a lot, but then again, being with the horses has to do with living here and now, not being occupied with the past or worrying about the future, and to achieve that, the soul need to express itself to give space for positive energies. So, to sum it all up, expressing yourself and your feelings through any kind of art, including music, is very essential for an authentic and integer appearance, and that is what the horses believe in and trust.

Hempfling has found inspiration by many of the great guitar players and musicians from the 60ies and 70ies, like for example Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits a band of which even Jon Bon Jovi was great fan), Eric Clapton who formed the first real super group Cream, Jimmi Hendrix, Paul Simon who was the leading musician in Simon & Garfunkel, Santana and Robert Johnson (many of these artists are represented by Warner Bros. Records / Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group). KFH also enjoys Spanish Flamenco guitarists like Paco de Lucía, Tomatito, Vicente Amigo, Chicuelo (who often played with the Flamenco singer Miguel Poveda). In the past years Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling developed a more and more original musical expression with much improvisation and sometimes an unplugged touch. His style is very much based on different kinds of natural and native music styles represented by for example Scandinavian and sami musicians like the singer Mari Boine, the composer and saxophone player Jan Garbarek and the northern joiking. Also music with Irish and Celtic roots as for instance Loreena McKennit and many of the bands playing Irish Folk music have been in his repertoire of collecting creative inputs. His way of not regarding the rules of music theory sometimes make you think of people like Keith Jarret.

His way of playing the acoustic guitar is very varied, and the emotion moves from Spanish flair over Hungarian polka and Freestyle Jazz to native world music. Very characteristic is his picking style, which is a sort of signature for his music creating a gentle, light, smooth sound foundation and a relaxed feel and flow. He is no fan of polished studio music and prefers to do his own recording at home in his authentic atmosphere. Like the pop icon Lady Gaga he is in his profession known for doing everything by himself that also counts when he produces music.

Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling (The Horse Seeks Me) is touching equestrians worldwide, with response in fields like natural horsemanship, horse whispering. He is at the forefront on working and interacting with horses and is known for authentic and effective groundwork according to the horses nature. He considers the horse's psyche (horse psychology) and communicates via body language with these beautiful creatures.
