@lance9772 If there is a god then he is not the god of Christianity, Islam, or Judaism. It's illogical to think that a higher being would be anything like what humans have imagined him to be. Therefore the concepts of heaven, hell, and so on most likely do not exist. If there is a higher being I have no worries about him sending me to a torturous hell for all time because of my child like (by comparison to such a powerful being) decisions of my mortal life. Most likely he doesn't care.

@lance9772 Okay, for the sake of argument let's say there is a god that has shaped and molded the human race. If this god does truly exist then no human vision or definition of this being is accurate. That being said it is morally despicable to believe that just because a person chooses not to believe in or worship the god that you have chosen to worship they will spend the rest of time in a torturous hell. If this being does exist its very nature is beyond human and therefore your argument...

@KentHovindisCool I'm gonna step in on this one. This is bullshit. I'm a philosophy major and an Atheist. I a good person and live a life by a set moral code. I can honestly state that morality is not dependent on a belief in a god. I was raised Christian and after becoming an Atheist I've become a far better person in terms of morality.
