Yes, children in China really play Chinese jumprope! I wonder what they call it. Visiting this kindergarten in Xi'an was one of the highlights of my recent trip to China.

    I work with the teachers in this school. We brought Chinese jump ropes in our teacher education program. The teachers remembered doing it as children. They loved it, and dug into their own childhood to bring back these games to pass on to their students.
