I see what you mean but just remember that the grass is always greener on the other side. Personally I wouldn't mind being a Canadian citizen and living up there! :)

I'm a US citizen and live in Northern Arkansas but recently spent 5 weeks in Oceanside, CA (home now). It was great for the first few weeks but I was definitely ready to come home after awhile.

I know what you mean its just.. im not sure if there is enough work...and iF i would want to move there legally i need a mentor and $15,000 and need to fill out allot of paper work :( Iv herd the best way is to get a work Visa..There is a Girl(who's about 48 ,shes actually my boss shes from Australia and lives here she actually married a guy from Ontario but she said to go and get my "Bar license" I guess its only like a weekend course then i could go work for 6 months...

@greenmisc Hey, my grandparents on my mother's side were Canadian residents, and they had that same dream. Eventually that dream became a reality, and the two legally moved to Southern California! :) There is no reason why you couldn't do the same thing!

Just returned from oceanside an hr ago. Spent one week there. I have a great video, me standing in the ocean, taking video of the surroundings, the pier as well. Just wish I knew how to download onto you tube! So excited to have a place to go to now a few times a year!  Just wish it wasn't so far to drive. Oh well, could be farther!
