This was one of those really intensive twenty four hour projects that I've been wanting to do for ages. James Spader's neurotic, damaged, migraine suffering detective and Keanu Reeves' cold as ice yet strangely appealing serial killer make a bizarre combination, but their onscreen relationship is what drives this film; Reeves, as Griffin, sums it up perfectly during the film's gripping climax when he says "We need each other." This is a video that explores that need - can definitely be taken as slash, but also as a kind of character study. And the boys are pretty too. ;) I really MUST get over the emo-goth Evanescence obsession...it's embarrassing at my age!
CAUTION: Contains one brief scene of drug injection.

  • Wow , thank you so much for this video ! It`s very good and I love the combination with the song !! I think they need each other , but they also need this special kind of danger , that`s indescribable !By the way , Evanescence is very cool , don`t care what age !

  • You're welcome for the video - I'm glad you enjoyed it :) I completely agree about Evanescence, even though I do feel a little old for them, at 29! They are very cool, and their songs are great for making videos to :)

  • Ooh, that was good...I'm gonna have to watch this movie.

Keanu Reeves gets dissed a lot for his acting, but he was great as a violent redneck in "The Gift" and it looks like he could be just as good here. And James Spader...well, no explanation needed. He does remind me of one of my other favorites, Christopher Walken, in some of the clips.

  • It is a great movie - highly underrated, IMHO. Keanu makes a great serial killer, and James Spader looks so wearily beautiful all the way through, it's a winner for me :) Thanks again for the comment, it's really good to know people are enjoying the vids :)

  • i totally love this film! there's actually someone who likes this film lol it's a good video nice job

  • Thanks, it's lovely of you to comment - and yes, I really like this film - it surprises me that there aren't more videos about it!

    Don't feel old, I'm 36 and I LOVE Evanescence!

  • I think he was injecting migraine medication.

  • I think he's injecting insulin..not positive though

  • umm, I'm not sure if it was at the end of the movie, but maybe your thinking of Dragula (Hot Rod Herman Remix) by Rob Zombie. Woooo! Go Keanu!

  • That was a really good movie. But it kinda freaked me out and it is a bit dipresing, but i think i'll rent it again anyhow! What is Joel injecting in his stomach anyway?

  • great video tourniquet goes perfectly with this

  • Great vid...... very well put together!

  • its a shame that the guy keanu reeves plays dies in the end. burnt to a crisp.

  • 2:51-2:55 looks really creepy but sumwot attractive!

  • Yes they are really pretty and James Spader is even prettier in person as I have met him. I grew up in Boston and he also is from Boston. This is also in my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Keanu really blew me away with his chillingly cold but so sexually appealing serial killer role. How wacked to think a serial killer is hot but oh he was.
