I haven't watched this film for a looooong time, but will now dig it out. Love this scene and the way he phrases everything he misses. Pure poetry.

You should read the book. It takes every bit of dialogue that's pure poetry from the film and just multiplies it by a thousand because there are more lines like that to read. Brilliant stuff.

This is one of my all time favorite movies.

That's a great view of Chicago behind him. It was filmed on the Kinzie Street bridge looking south.
