@mrwright82 True. Same thing happened when Savannah State played Miles College in the early 90's. They invited Bush Middle School, which was one of the largest middle school band in the country to perform.

I actually was in Josey's band from 92-96 and it wasnt rare that we challenged HBCU's we did it in 93 against SC State and again in 96 against Clark Atlanta, AAMU, and Morris Brown. the 1996 band was by far the biggest and best band that came thru that school with nearly 27 seniors going to JSU, Southern, Norfolk St and FAMU right after we graduated.
