This antique music box was made in Switzerland in the 1880's. Plays eight tunes on a 13" / 33cm cylinder. With 9 bells. Here you can hear a march from Charles Gounod's 1859 - opera "Faust" .

  • wonderful arrangement, just the right amount of bell without overpowering the tune!

Any idea of the specific maker and might I ask where you found it? Best, Dan

  • @blacksheiladog I think this box was made by Brémond in Geneva, but i'm not shure.

  • What an amazing contraption and what a lovely sound.

  • I've seen some with dozens of notes before never with bells. It's exquisite!
