OM freaking G, that is some damn awesome.

These solid rocket boosters are amazing. The sheer power behind them boggles the mind. They each have about 80% more thrust than an F1 Rocket engine used on Saturn V rocket. Had we used 5 SRBS instead we could have lifted 2 million more pounds off the ground, yet requiring a larger second stage to compensate for the smaller burn time.

@AmystikaAngel Obama is not ending the space program. The shuttle program is ending because it is outdated and should have ended years ago and has nothing to do with Obama . I'm not an Obama supporter, but I don't like misinformation either. The space program is continuing.
