I'm not sure you knew this prior to making the video, but there's a wall you can cling to during the essence of Metroid Prime fight. By hugging the wall the shockwave attacks can't hit you at all.

yep.
but it is the old version's normal mode and normal mode is easier.

hard to understand what you want to say but hard mode is the same hard mode as in the gc version.

One question, does sequence breaking like SJF working on this version?

well, anything that involved dashes is dead because the dash's speed was changed and you no longer get a lot of speed from them.
but there's plenty of other sequence breaks which still work. for example, getting the ice bean directly after wave beam is still possible and skipping the crashed frigate is also possible. there's plenty of others i tried and worked.
