You might take a look away from your American perspective texts and start reading some unbiased history. Not only had the British halted any hopes of an invasion from Germany, but Hitler and his army was on the run by the time the US even got involved. Nazi Germany was already going down by soviet hands. The US, like in WW1, only intervened to reap war and post war rewards.

You might want to learn some history. Europe was finished prior to U.S. entry. Soviets have a better argument. The number of Germans they mopped up undoubtedly saved Europe prior to U.S. entry, but it came at a huge cost! If U.S. hadn't entered war, Europe would have fallen, and than the Soviet Union. So yes, the US won WWII. As for WWI, similar situation. It was a standstill. In fact, they first day US marines engaged the Germans, the French were retreating. The Germans didn't know yet
