  • @mmp3pets I wish my own mother had understood that better. If she had I probably wouldn't be saying my favorite episodes are the one where Eunice buys the self-help positive thinking tapes and even manages to build herself up to the point where she actually try's out for (and gets)a part at the local Raytown comm. theater. Only to have her family screw it up And the episode where Mama falls a sleep and talks to the ghost of her own mother and tells her off.

  • i am so sick of everybodys negativity, it was a comic SKETCH the CHARACTERS were written this way, they are NOT real people!

  • therapist- lets become a where of are toes

    Mama- *eyes shoot open*

    ROFL

  • @thejtamez -- yeah, her and two hundred million other people. :) (:

  • @mpmg67 -- The year on the clips is 1978.

  • Sadly, my mother loved this show and thought it was a way to live life. But it's a tv sitcom and meant for entertainment type purposes only. She believed she was eunice but treated everybody like momma treated people. An old women that chose to waist her life away then blamed it on her poor family. I'll bet eunice would have a far better life if she'd been encouraged more. But I find these old shows more sad than funny. read "Toxic Parents" by Dr. Susan Forward & "The Birth Order book" by Leman

  • Poor Eunice, she thought of everyone else first and due to her niceness she was treated like dirt and never got anything in return:(

  • @MrReggieLew I know how you feel, I remember MANY shows that no one else remembers.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I saw it originally MANY years ago, and have not been able to find it since then. Whenever I mention this episode to anyone, no one knows what I am talking about. Thank you for finding and posting this. This is truly a great gift.
