  • oh my god, putting your spine into hyper-extension and squating your own body weight? i was sick in my mouth watching that squat! :P

  • @asdfqwer79 You're kidding right? In cycling we are constantly in a posterior tilt, in fact some cyclists even lose their lordotic curve from some much kyphosis. We want to go into lordosis in a squat for two reasons: 1) to reenforce the lordotic curve of the lumbar spine and 2) the spinal erectors are contracted in lordosis.

  • Thanks for these videos. I really prefer your delivery, a natural beleivable style. The only thing that lost me was the use of all the gym equipment, which I dont have accsess to. How about some stuff we can do at home with a barbell, dumbells or gym ball?

  • @holyheadbutt thank you. You can do most of this with a barbell and dumbbells

  • @holyheadbutt sounds good. I will work on that for you

  • This is good stuff. Thanks for the video series.

  • @uranimo thank you.

  • @platerojohn Hi John. How about making a video for cyclists strength training on the premise that the cyclists has just a home gym, barbell dumbell etc and has about 45 minutes for the workout. I think it would be really popular. I only ask because I respect and enjoy your approach to delivering training advice.

Thanks for these videos anyway. Do you write articles on cycling training?

  • this is great
