Jesus was the atheist of his time.

These two YouTubers are worth your sub:

http://www.youtube.com/rationalwarrior

He's not the only one. Other atheists have been bullied offline by their jobs as well...many others.

I never thought about this until this incident, because such maliciousness doesn't come naturally to me, but I have real power over Christians - real power. I interview them; I hire them; they give me their financial details, their residential and professional histories, their social security numbers; I rent real estate to them, high demand real estate that I can rent to anyone I want; they've even used their religion as a selling point to try to convince me to choose them, oblivious that they were trying to sell themselves to an atheist. The livelihoods of entire Christians families depend on my good will...me...an atheist. And as their neighbors are tossed into the streets by the greedy corporations who they would want to remain unchecked and unregulated, my tenants enjoy the attentiveness and security brought to them by an atheist who they would gleefully condemn to hell. I would never, ever discriminate against or negatively affect someone because they're a Christian, or a Muslim, or a Jew. And I do this knowing full well that many of them wouldn't do the same for me. To my integrity and my conscience, I relinquish the power I have over them, the same power they would seek to use against me.

Being immersed in this debate for over a decade, in real life and on YouTube, has caused me to meet thousands of Christians and atheists. I can tell you one counterintuitive thing I've witnessed time and time again over the years: atheists are far, far more Christ-like than most Christians could ever hope to be. Jesus was the atheist of his time. The powers that be tried to shut him up too, but that didn't work. Now, it seems many Christians have done a 180. My friend, the atheist high school teacher, the same man who Jesus Christ would've befriended, would also be tossed out on the street by some of Jesus' misguided modern day followers, who call themselves Christians while knowing nothing of Jesus' teachings. But things are getting better. At least they'll no longer burn him at the stake. But would they if they could?

  • How can anyone think there's anything bad with putting an "A" before Theism? The "A" is just a path from fantasy to reality.

  • When I looked into the eyes of GrapplingIgnorance's thumbnail, I saw not anger. I saw not hate, nor frustration. I saw bravery. I saw determination. I saw the fire, the flames of vengeance. The eyes of truth and freedom, ready to spit in the face of injustice and evil. I saw a soul that was ready to make his impact on the world, and change it for the better.

  • @casablanca4381

yet your government somehow puts it in your minds that (and the fact you are so easily manipulated by your government shows your intelligence levels) you are the first and only country to have these 'free possibilite's...err..whaaaaat? My country is f*cking free, heck its MORE free than america, atleast i won't be sued over every little thing here.

  • @DrTheKay i don't know . i disagree this is a great nation with tons of oppurtunities and posiibilities. I see it full of a n optimistic out llok , not negative

  • @Vierzbanator id point out the likelihood of that happening is slim

  • The inabilty to to think and reason has been and still is the catalyst for humanities horrors throughout history, war, genocide, torture. An ignorant mind is capable of almost anything it is told to do. The religious mind is dangerous. Indoctranation and ideology can hide in both religion and and politics. If we can learn HOW to think instead of WHAT to think then maybe humanity can save itself.

  • Grappling Ignorance's videos are amazing<3 I am so freaking glad you told us about him Darkmatter2525!:D

  • @sprPee Right, you're only bigoted against the religious in the UK. Don't get me wrong, I'm an atheist. But discrimination against anyone is wrong.

  • Christians talk so much about atheists having no morals and yet Christians are the savages who, when backed into a corner by logic and reason lash out in fear, rather than listening. The grip that their religious indoctrination has on them sickens me. I fear that many "True Christians" are still children mentally and are unable to learn. Unable to accept.

  • America, the once great nation, is suffering and crumbling under the grip of religon. Religon is a diesase to America, a disease that has a cure. Atheism is the cure, the treatment is going to be long and painful, but America will feel better once finished.

We must destroy religon to save the nation that I hold dear. Destroy religon, save America.

  • This would only happen in america, i would never want to live in such a terrible terrible cuntry like america
