I started an internal bat survey of Phoenix Barn at 9-30pm. After discovering bats and ( what I assume to be barn owls as well ), I went outside to see if I could find where the bats were emerging from the barn. Initially I could not see any bats, but as it became almost properly dark, the bats fluttered out. It seemed from the bat sounds that they were flying around quite a lot inside the barn first before emerging. There were different types of sounds from the bats which can be heard in this video of tonight.

  • If the Council's bat report shows no evidence of bats, then this demonstrates yet another Council cover up of the truth although considering that the prrotected species officer plus several other Council Staff were there at the time would have to make it a huge cover up. I doubt the Council are going to hand over the report........

  • I have asked the Council for a copy of their bat report. I suppose it remains to be seen if the Council are willing to hand a copy over. Considering they illegally broke into our farm looking for bats, then they should hand over a copy of their report. This has certainly backffired on the Council. They never believed me when I said there were bats, hence their nocturnal trespassing last Thursday. Theeir report will show that the barn is full of bats based on what I have found.

  • Charnwood Borough Council trespassed onto our farm last Thursday evening with professional Bat Surveyors looking for evidence of bats on the property. I telephoned the Council and asked if they had found similar evidence to my own, to which the Council staff said that although they were present at the time of the bat survey, they didnt know if any bats were detected or not !! Surely if they were present, then they would know if bats were there or not.
