Jak Othman heads a university "Bachelor of Martial Arts" degree course majoring in Silat & South East Asia Martial Philosophies.

Guru Jak Othman is one of Malaysia's world renowned martial arts figures. He is a member of the board of studies to MAGMA Martial Arts Academy in affiliation with Asia Pacific Open University which is offering Diploma, Bachelor, Master and Doctorate of martial arts degree courses. This combat "Belati" (blades) expert is a key personal in the setting up of this new "Bachelor of Martial Arts" degree course majoring in "Silat & South East Asia Martial Philosophies". It is a two years course open to all martial artists from around the world with a minimum qualification of brown belt or 2 years experience in any martial arts.
