On December 1, 1990, Hawaii and BYU met again on the turf of Aloha Stadium in Honolulu. A year earlier, Hawaii had beaten BYU for the first time ever since joining the WAC, but the 1990 BYU team was ranked 4th in the nation and featured Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer. This video features some of the highlights from this classic game.

Was this the last time a Heisman Trophy was presented before the winner's season was over?
It's very strange to know Detmer won the award on the same day rather than after it.

My Top 5 College Football Uniforms of all time. (5) Penn State (4) Texas (3) Florida (2) Michigan (1) THESE HAWAII RAINBOW UNI's. Especially with the green pants with the rainbow going down the side!!!
