And mass distortion, IIRC, removes half of the total hit points of ther monster by EACH cast ... so, with some lucky mass distortion casts, you could have a chance against the megadragon.

go to the shangri-la guild, click on spell info and that will let you know everything about every spell that you have, so this way you can see wich spell does more damage. As you'll see, implosion=1000dmg, and starburst, does considerably less damage. Fire ball? little damage x lvls = not that much
