  • Though I applaud this agreement... it is as useless as the ban on depleted uranium if the countries who are manufacturing, selling and using these weapons do not agree to the ban. Back to square one. It is all about war-profiteering not "air superiority."

  • They should be banning nukes too.

  • @arthurcscds2 bush thought this way

he got send home being the worst president ever

arrogant sobs like you need to pick up one of those faulthy cluster bottles and explode in your face!

  • This is stupid shit. Cluster bombs are extremely effective at destroying large groups of enemy personnel and vehicles. Besides, usa is just going to say "Yeah, whatever." And do it anyway. We always do that were the F*cking USA! "Take away extremely effective weapons!" Stupid hippie NATO crap

  • The reason of banning mines and cluster bombs is that they persist (CB got huge dud rate) and threaten long after peace have been signed. As a consequence they make peaceful existence harder and promote war for 'fresh' territories.

  • I think they all got together and asked themselves: "What does the USA have that we don't have? Let's attack the use of them!"

Look, while you are at it - why not ban machine guns? Makes about as much sense. Let's ban mines too! Let's ban killing (I only wish we COULD)!

  • EU is not poor. It's a piss poor countries that hasn't done nothing but wars in past decades. And of course delightful quadret of Israel, USA, Russia and China.

  • yeah, USA, Israel and third world hellholes. Nice company.

  • That's bullshit! Cluster bombs are good for clearing out large sections of military and enemy installation, well fuck, why dont we bomb napalm? Why dont we ban the daisy cutter? Why not ban the bunker buster? And last, lets ban the conventional bombs, some times they dont go off. Fucking UN dumbasses, this is why I hate the UN, most countries in their are fucking dictatorships!

  • 100 countries signed it, that means 160 didn't.

  • you forgot Pakistan and India.

  • Yeah, I agree completely. But still, it's impossible to ban weapons, we need weapons really.
