It will wreck valves over time. newer engines need the back pressue... it most likely sounded shitty because he probly doesn't have his O2 sensors turned off (given a normal reading from the computer). Because wuth my tuner in, it sounded fine.

it will not ruin valves to run open headers; now if you run a dirt bike with no mufflers, then yes, that will ruin your valves, people have been running open exhaust for 120 years, it does not ruin your valves.
