Team OTY Eucumbene 2009 Trout on Powerbait

The OTY boys were at it again. A nice session of 4 solid rainbow trout caught on Powerbait off the shores of Australia's Lake Eucumbene.

We were using Powerbait Nuggets - i think on this morning it was Chartruese colour that was dominating.

@vassilis359995 I use about a foot of line, but if your pulling up weeds on your hook when you reel in your bait try making it longer so that it floats above the weeds. Good luck hopefully you will hook into some trout next time your out.

@turkey2003 Cool, im waiting for my powerbait i orderd it online. I was wondering what length line  do you use from hook to sinker??

@vassilis359995 Use 2 to 4 pound test line and a sliding sinker rig and your in business. Never seen or heard of a wild trout being caught on powerbait, it is made to work on stocked fish. I think it smells and tastes like the food they are given at the hatchery, when I visited a trout hatchery the pellets they had smelled just like powerbait.
