I knew Miss Young for many years. I don't judge anyone. As per the Bible, God will judge you the way you judge others. She was kind and forthright with me. Nothing more, nothing less. So many unkind words from people who never met her and who among them can cast the first stone?

@damienrecords What alternative universe do you live in? Devoted mother? Class act? She slept with every guy in Hollywood in the 30s, had a kid out of wedlock, and then lied to her for almost her entire life until 1 week before she died. I'd hardly call that a "class act" or a "devoted mother." Loretta Young was a bitch.

She won Best Actress, not Supporting Actress. She made this film work; without her it would have seemed artificial and contrived. With her it worked perfectly and convincing.
