This is an Bandpass-Subwoofer. I made it, just in order to see if it is possible or not. It contains a 10cm Visaton Midrange Speaker and an Passive Radiator wich i made from a burned out 13 cm Speaker. Its Frequency Response is 35 to 90 Hertz. Cannot play very loud - but DEEP! :-)

  • did you just pull the magnet off with a chisel/flat-head screwdriver, or something else? I wanted to make something similar.

    Thanks

  • @trystanhardy You're right, that's just what i did. Be careful not to bend the upper rim/mounting edge of the speaker, it needs to be absolutely airtight. Orherwise it won't work properly. Maybe i will make some kind of "howto" video on this...we'll see.

  • That is very impressive bass from a small speaker.Thank you for posting.

  • WOW!!

  • ez hol bandpass láda te seggfej???????

  • I still like a slot port more then a passive radiator. I got 25 hz with a 6.5'' driver in a bandpass box. But I chanced the driver for a 8''. That made it much louder. That box sounds good though.

  • @Elnufo thanks for the reply. A how to video would be a good idea i think.

    Thanks again

  • I see. I'm gonna say it again, it sounds very very good, even over a Youtube video :-)

  • @SmallRoomBigSound The Speaker itself is unmodified, but i removed the magnet and added some weight to the voicecoil to get the desired frequency response.

  • did you remove the magnet or modify the speaker to make it a PR?

  • @SmallRoomBigSound thank you, glad you like it :-)

  • that sounds very very good!

  • Turn it up louder until the speaker starts moving, show off what it can do!
