LEGACY MEDIA is the term I use.

ie, they don't speak for me or the people I know. They own licenses.

They speak for the blind, dis-empowered masses that think a tepid cliche warrants a broadcast news story.

However, as Amy Goodman once put it, they leave a huge niche for citizen journalists and others to come by and eat their lunch when they shirk their duties.

...And I for one am more than happy to exploit that niche. :)

I assert that its definitely not the Republicans alone that are getting big money from welfare-whoring corporations; the Dems are complicit as well.

The Dems are also complicit in the war-mongering.

My one wish in this election cycle is that the public at large for once sees that neither party has their back.

Parties have their own backs, and that it.

Enabling the Bush regime during the rush to war in Iraq, very little oversight or investigation on the Bush administration's blasphemous policy's (torture, illegal spying on it's own citizens, trashing "habeous corpus", ignoring all subpoena's, etc.) The MSM should just rename itself TASS.
