Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA), chairman of the House Ways and Means Income Security and Family Support Subcommittee, conducted a hearing on youth homelessness and disconnected youth this week. One of the witnesses was three time Grammy nominated singer Jewel, who told her own personal story of being homeless for a year in her life. The goal of the hearing was to raise awareness and hope for the young Americans who are living on the streets or disconnected from loved ones. Please watch and share.
