Classic Game Room HD reviews CRIMSON GEM SAGA for Sony PSP from Atlus. This fantasy adventure RPG style video game has hand drawn sprites and a beautiful design all around. Japanese in style, but not overly cute or abnoxious, fans of new and old school fantasy adventures should check this one out. Guide your Luke Skywalker inspired character through an amazing quest to locate the Wicked Stone and avoid numerous bad guys and villains. Meet friends along the way, battle monsters and level up your characters. Excellent menu structure and leveling up systems round out this game with a high degree of playability. Save frequently and take it on the go, this CGRHD review of Crimson Gem Saga has gameplay footage from Crimson Gem saga on PSP showing game play in action. Graphically solid and with excellent audio quality, the pickiest RPG video game fan should get a kick out of this one. Storyling seems about average, but gameplay is a lot of fun and easy to pick up and take on the go.

  • I just found out that this game was actually made in Korea so technically it's a KRPG instead of a JRPG.

  • You can also download this game from the app store :)

What a good buy that was! :D

  • I play it on iPod.

Love the ambush. Hate not ambushing. Hate the reversing controls. Love cutscenes. Storyline isn't too bad either.

Hate the sidequests. Damn you Engle...something...

  • "Crimson Gem Saga, for the Sony PSP. Fantasy adventure games like this are a dime a dozen for the Nintendo DS. We don't get that many of them on the PSP though which, is kinda a shame because... just watch the screen." LOL

  • @Zeroned666 it has a major problem though i have it it keeps on crashing :(

  • love the opening animation to this game.

  • It's a shame how so many great games are only released on handheld consoles these days as opposed to all the junk coming out on home consoles.

  • Is this game worth playing?

  • @InsideAVitalSuit Well if you got the 3DS practically for free, then you should be happy. The 3DS has some great games, like Zelda: Ocarina of Time. But Mario and Luigi are coming separetely as well. Star Fox 64 Remake released, Metal Gear Solid 3D will be arriving too. Also, Bravely Default and Tales of the Abyss are two RPG's I just heard will be coming to the 3DS. But like you said, I hope Nintendo releases a new 3DS (Lite?) with two analog sticks for the greater good!

  • @Jiyaijo NO RPG'S?!? Dang man, that blows. Yeah I'm going to be super careful about what handhelds I buy from now on, when the 3DS came out I traded a couple games (ones i didnt care for anyways) for a brand new unopened 3DS. and lets just say if I had bought it I Would be extremely pissed off at myself. Did you hear about Nintendo doing a relaunch of the 3DS and adding another analog stick? They really messed up a lot this time around.

  • @InsideAVitalSuit No, I won't get the Vita. I saw the games that were announced for the Vita and most games were also announced for the PS3. Therefore, no point in getting it anymore. I was excited when Uncharted was announced for it, but that's one of the few originals. Gravity Rush and Escape Plan looked great too, but I'm not getting a whole handheld just for 3 games! I didn't see any RPG's announced for the Vita as well, which is a shame.

  • @Jiyaijo Oh that sucks ass! I tend to always use the D-Pad in games when I have the option. I'm sure on the psVita the analog sticks will be a lot better since most of the games being developed are focusing on using both sticks. ARe you planning on getting one? Can you imagine the RPG's that will be released for it? Hopefully great handrawn ones like this! Maybe it's just me but I think the PSP right now as is, is the new "PS1" When it comes to RPG's...
