Retired intelligence analyst, Ray McGovern served 27 years in the CIA. Affable, witty, avuncular, Ray describes his years of service and the environment he experienced within the agency in its early years and contrasts this with the increasingly politicized atmosphere in the current administration, including the unprecedented pressure brought to bear on the agency from the Vice President's office to fit intelligence to its case for war.
Today, Mr. McGovern works with Tell the Word, the publishing arm of the ecumenical Church of the Saviour in Washington, DC. He served as an Army infantry/intelligence officer in the early 60s, and then as a CIA analyst for the next 27 years. He is on the Steering Group of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS). He also writes for Common Dreams. We all know that all this comes from the boys in the white house. They bring shame on everyone. Mitt Romney is a scumbag as well. The thing is the conspiracy and collusion is wide enough in the hierarchy that the only thing that will help is for the Republican party to be dismantled or deleted like the Nazi Party. Then we can have another 50 years of moderated insanity.
