Myself (original)

Here is a song I wrote several years back... obviously contemplating "myself" and what was happening to me at that time.

Audio/Video a bit out of sync by the end...

Lyrics:

Another lonely day is done
And I find Myself afraid
Afraid that if I go to sleep...
I'll wake up to another lonely day.

So I pick up my guitar
And gently play a favorite song.
And as I whisper, in the words
I may find what's going wrong.

Sure life is full of ups and downs,
But this down is much too deep.
It can't be true but it's been said:
"You're only lonely if you want to be."

So I try to be Myself,
Because that's all I know to be.
And if my self is not enough,
Then by Myself is what I'll be...

@GabbieOlds90 Thanks alot. I liked yours too. Try (as hard as you can) to resist sparring with the hurtful idiots out here. I used to want to do that too...but it is a waste of time... and worst of all, it is exactly what they want you to do! It is not your problem that their life sucks. Ignore them and keep writing and playing.

@MahriHunnehxx Thank you very much for that. I wrote it many years ago, and although I don't clearly identify with it so much anymore, it was good to get it out on the paper at that time. Songs are like snapshots in that way, I guess.
