  • My much older brother took Army Helicopter Pilot training there in the 60's and flew in Vietnam. He flew Huey and Cobra... He did three tours and got shot at and shot down but survived it.

  • Wow. AWESOME vid...thanks for posting!!!

  • good stuff them were the days , i expected sgt bilko to jump out some where in the film !

  • YEeHaW, God bless America!

  • I went through the flight program in 1964, flying the OH23 at Fort Wolters and the UH19C & D at Rucker. Only difference I noted is we had gloves and helmets and used bottles to check the fuel. One thing not explained is that the UH19 did not have servo assist on the tail rotor making it tough on the left leg with power increases, and the throttle required a great deal of pressure to increase.

  • I liked how they checked water in the fuel tanks by just pouring it into the hand, and casually look for water, rather than in a glass jar. I don't think it can be good for you over a lifetime to have skin conctact with Avgas.

  • i love these put out more please

  • @gmcjetpilot Its because of people like your brother who make are country AWESOME and protects us God Bless you and you Brother.

  • sweet now im ready to fly
