This video makes me homesick for the island, the images are the island of my childhood and birthplace. If only the development had not gotten out of control in the early part of the 2000s. God bless HHI.

I loved HH back in the early 1960's. Now it's just another cluttered vacation place. Back in the 1960's you thought you were in another part of the world. It was peaceful and beautiful.

What a Visionairy and a great human being. Please don't let folks talk you out of visiting Hilton Head Island. Life is short come for a vacation and maybe stay for a life time. Life is short, put visiting Hilton Head Island on your bucket List

It would be hard to give you 5 good and 5 bad places just go by this and you will be fine. The northern part of the island is where most locals live in their houses, but middle and south are the higher end homes. Stay anywhere in Palmetto Dunes or Sea Pines. I used to own a condo in Shelter Cove and thats a great place to stay, but you have to cross the main road to go to the beach. In Palmetto Dunes or Shelter Cove there is a shuttle bus that takes you to the beach, you just call.

going to HH this Dec-Jan after Christmas ... what is the Best palce to stay near a "good" golf course ..and what is the WORST place to stay do not want to go to a FLEA BAG place give me your top 5 and your Worst top 5 places
