  • I was eight months old at the time. Great adverts there.

  • does anyone remember the bit n pizza ad that was one of the best i think it was 1985

  • Paxo advert, one of the best adverts of that time! Bring it back!

I always remember the disco part! Brilliant!

  • The holsten ad was brilliant and the paxo one was probably the first ad i remember but they may have been repeating it around 1984 as i would have been 1 at this time. Why did the chicken cross the road? To get stuffed

  • No way! Thats Neil Innes in the Holstein ad!

  • Harry H Corbett died just 5 months after this ad

  • One of the best ads of that year. I like the movie at the cinema; The Birds, with George Seagull and Gregory Peck. Heh.

  • i'm delighted to see the chunky chicken advert again. i'd love to see the shippham's paste ad with the adam ant sardine and debbie harry pig even more though.

  • Such is the lure of PAXO the Rooster Booster!!!

    Irresistible.

  • So. That rooster didn't want to see an exciting film... he didn't want to boogie the night away to the cool disco sounds of 1981... he wouldn't even cross the road to have sex with a girl chicken... no, he wanted to have his neck wrung, all his insides ripped out and be stuffed with sage and onion. Yeah, right...
