@beesch7 that's a e-bow, I haven't seen them used since the 80s, Bill Nelson (solo from Be-Bop Deluxe) used one all the time, I think Adrian Belew used one, also. The blue light is because they have a battery, it causes the string to vibrate and the player simply has to fret the note to get the sustained sound

I just saw Marianne play at UCLA back in late 2009. She is amazing! Her voice just keeps getting better with her age. Marianne Faithfull has made 22 studio albums and she's a true artist. Shes part of music history. With a gift like hers (which very few artists have today in my opinion) I am honored to listen to such a great masterpiece. Hugs to you Marianne!

I'm waiting for a copy to be returned to the libray Ive had it reserved for a couple of months. I started listening to her in the early 80's . She is a staple on my IPAQ. I hear her music in a new light as I become more familiar with Buddhism.
