I remember that rainbow-colored board where he would reveal the forecast. I think he pulled the cover form top to bottom as he talked. It was crazy-like a game show or something! And it wasn' t that long ago really.

If i'm not mistaken, Troy wasn't even a meteorologist. The whole bow tie gimmick was goofy. I never liked him. I actually remember the promo commercial announcing his arrival at WFAA back in 1976! It said "Theres a change in the weather coming" or something like that. I was 12 then.

Troy Dungan never claimed to be a "meteorologist." The bow tie thing was his idea when he was at WXYZ-TV in Detroit.
