In May 2002, J.R. Gulotta lost his father who went on to save the lives of others by becoming an organ/tissue donor. Reflecting back on the experience, J.R. wrote this song, "Thank You," as a tribute to his father and all others who have saved lives through organ donation.

As a recipient of a kidney and I cannot thank you and your family enough for the gift that you all shared in your darkest hour. I am so blessed that people like your father were willing to live on through the lives of others.

Thankyou for this song. My daughter was an organ donor. She helped 47 people when we lost her, Thankyou for making this song and making that gut renching decision like i did. He lives on in all the people he helped. They smile a little bigger because of him. :) and so does he from heaven.
