  • Great era to be in the AF.

  • Great historical video. Look at the hangers that are still there after so many year! I wish DOD had never closed the base! I would had love to had been station there when it was an USAF base. I worked with the Air Guard and lived on housing for awhile under US Coast Guard control. Too bad the base is gone, but not the memories.

  • @lsnows Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. It's in the far northwest corner of the island.

  • Any chance those pictures could be posted in flickr.com for all to enjoy? Thanks.

  • The B-36 kept the peace.

  • The last B-36 in this footage is 51-5753. This was the last B-36 to retire from Ramey on 18 November 1958. My dad took some excellent photos of 5753s retirement ceremony. She was named "Faithful Lady" on her fini-flight to the boneyard.

  • This is where "Heavy Metal Thunder" originated.

  • Beautiful to see this Fourth of July. I want that car too!

  • Giant Bomber!

  • Beautiful!

Thanks for hosting this historical footage!
