@tomservo56954 I guess you could use Ivory Snow that way too. I mean if it's gentle enought to wash your babies clothes in. You could use it as an all purpose cleaner.

@Sheri451 Actually, this wasn't soap...Dreft was the first synthetic detergent. That's why it didn't lead the "dishpan film" that was actually soap residue. In those days people would use the same soap powder for dishes, laundry, and general cleaning (floors, walls).

This wasn't from 1937. The first T.V. commercial didn't air until 1941.
