I have no real problem with this concept - wargamers refight all the old battles that occurred throughout history daily and no-one dies and real historical events don't change. But my one fear with things like this is that schools teach so little history these days (by design?) that so many youngsters see stuff on places like YouTube and believe it to be true. Maybe qualifying the true events in the info at the top of the page would stop old farts like me whinging! :-) Still, very well done.

@Factnotfictionpeople - Good point. I do state that it's from a computer game in the description but that still doesn't stop people from taking it way too seriously. It was really only meant for other players of the game. I never expected it to get this many views.

the u boat was U-556 and it's captain was Herbert Wohfarth, nicknamed parsival he jokingly adopted Bismarck and pledged to protect her at an opportunity but had used his last torps on convoy HX126 when he spotted Ark Royal and Reknown just before the Ark's swordfish raid crippled Bismark! how he must have kicked himself!

Haven't played SH yet. I assume you're using G7 torpedoes - contact or magnetic fuses? No escorts? Well played, and incredible graphics. Those inquiring about turrent placement - London/Washington Naval Treaties. Shorter belt, less weight.  The French had 2 classes similiar - Dunkerque and Richelieu class battleships.
