Professor Gast awakens to an unexpected knock at his door. Professor Hojo confronts him about him leaving the Jenova Project, and he has come to reclaim what is rightfully his; the Ancient, Ifalna. After an emotional confrontation, Professor Gast is shot and killed. Hojo suceeds and takes Aerith and Ifalna.

Eighteen years later, Vincent is standing outside of Shinra Mansion, reflecting on his past. It seems as though Shinra finally got around to cleaning up the mess inside the mansion's basement from the experiments. He's broken from his thoughts when he hears two gunshots ring out from inside the mansion. A dark cloaked figure runs from the mansion but trips and falls before it gets far and is knocked out. Vincent jumps down and recovers it before anyone can see. Back at an abandoned building, the cloaked person awakens, but it is in fact a girl with mako blue eyes.

I remember that when I first saw this vid I was very skeptical. ShinRa Inc. plays a big role in this story. While I strongly believed that ShinRa was gone after the Meteor. Because of this story I began to wander if I could be so sure about that. But now it is even mentioned in Advent Children Complete and On the Way to a Smile episode Nanaki that the ShinRa company was rebuild after Meteor. And I thought I knew every friggiNikki-detail about ff7. So, respect Kayla.

Thanks! :) Like I said, ShinRa is probably not completely rebuilt to the magnitude that it was at in FFVII, but I think it's safe to assume they are at least reestablished to a point. I'm working on Chapter 11 as we speak and it should be out in the next week or two!
